Kraken portfolio tracker: balances, cost basis, and history

Track your Kraken portfolio with a read-only API key: real-time balances, average cost over your full history, open orders, fills, and transfers in one place.

CentraFIN reads your Kraken account with an API key that only has query permissions. You see your spot balances in euros, your average cost calculated over your full history, your open orders, and your transfers, next to your other platforms.

What CentraFIN reads

  • Balances: every asset in your spot account, valued at Kraken's price, every minute while the dashboard is open.
  • Average cost and gains: all your fills since the account was opened, for an accurate average cost, even over years of history.
  • Open orders: their price, quantity, and value in euros, every two minutes.
  • Transfers: deposits, withdrawals, and ledger entries, matched with your other accounts when a transfer goes from one to another.

Your futures positions use a separate key: see Kraken Futures.

Create the key on Kraken

  1. On Kraken, open Settings › API and create a new key.
  2. Turn on only the query permissions: Query Funds, Query Open Orders & Trades, Query Closed Orders & Trades, Query Ledger Entries, and Export Data.
  3. Don't turn on any trading, deposit, or withdrawal permission.
  4. Under the IP address restrictions, allow 130.110.240.91, our relay's address: the key will only work from there.
  5. Save, then copy the key and its secret.

Add it to CentraFIN

  1. In the dashboard, open Connectors, then Add a connector.
  2. Choose Kraken, give it a name (“Personal Kraken”, for example), and paste the key and its secret.
  3. Your balances show up within a minute; your full history follows over the next few minutes.

Your security

  • The key and its secret are encrypted as soon as they arrive (AES-256-GCM) and are never shown again: only the end of the key stays visible.
  • Every call goes out from our relay, never from a shared address.
  • At Kraken's first refusal, CentraFIN stops calling and waits: your key never gets locked by a string of attempts.

With your other accounts

Your Kraken account joins Coinbase, OKX, Hyperliquid, Interactive Brokers, and your Bitcoin wallets in a single total value. A withdrawal from Kraken to another of your accounts shows up as an internal transfer, not as money leaving.

Frequently asked questions

Can CentraFIN trade or withdraw on my Kraken account?

No. The key only has query permissions: Kraken rejects any order or withdrawal made with it.

Why the Export Data permission?

It lets CentraFIN fetch your full ledger in one go, even with years of history, instead of making thousands of calls.

Can I connect several Kraken accounts?

Yes, one connector per account, each with its own name, up to 12 connectors in total.

Is Kraken tracking free?

Yes. Every integration is included in the Free plan.
